Self-regulation workshop, classroom management, SEL check-ins and more!
Trauma-informed learning and resources and all the things
I have so much to share with you! I’m going to keep it simple today and make you a list since there’s a lot of it.
Starting next week: a two-part workshop series on student dysregulation. Learn about why kids (and adults) get dysregulated and what you can do to support them (and yourself). Part one is Understanding Student Dysregulation and part two is Support Student Regulation. Both are pay-what-you-can including $0.
Starting January 27: my spring graduate course for teachers, Radically Rethinking Classroom Management. 3 credits, fully online, open to all educators, and you don’t need to part of a program or certificate to join. Are you ready to take your classroom community to the next level? Experiment with new strategies and clarify your philosophy? Join us!
New writing from me on Edutopia: Make the Most of Quick Check-Ins. Many of you know that I loooove classroom check-in routines. This piece goes through some of my best tips for designing and facilitating check-in that works for you and your students.
New podcast episode: I was delighted to join
and on podcast to talk about my book Becoming an Everyday Changemaker. You can find the full episode here.
As always, email me with any questions or if you’d like to connect about professional learning for your school. One particular reminder: I offer free 30-minute Q&A zoom calls to any group doing a book study of either of my books. If you’re facilitating a book study and would like to set that up, email me at Alex@UnconditionalLearning.org.
